DP Visual Arts and Film Exhibition, March 14-21!

Dear Staff, Students, and Parents,

We are thrilled to invite you to our DP Visual Arts and Film Exhibition opening party (NIS Cafeteria Loft) on March 14th from 5-7 PM. Join us for an inspiring evening of creativity as our Grade 12 students proudly showcase their incredible artworks and film projects, along with pieces from our Grade 11 artists. Don’t miss the film premiere at 6 PM, which spotlights the talent and dedication of our young filmmakers. One of the highlights of the evening will be the opportunity to meet the artists and film students, who will be eager to answer any questions you might have. Enjoy snacks and drinks as we come together to celebrate the artistic achievements of our students! We can’t wait to see you there!

Sincerely,
Sandy Kuan (DP Visual Arts teacher) & Danny Griffith (DP Film teacher)

P.S., The exhibition will continue to be on display from March 14th to 21st.

Safer Internet Day Week 4: (Optional)Discussion/Activity

These activities are valuable but entirely optional. If you’re interested in participating in the 7-Week Safer Internet Challenge, you might consider leading a discussion or activity with your homeroom or advisory group. However, if now isn’t the right time, simply reflect on this week’s focus and how it could inform your teaching in the future.

This week we will be focusing on

Picking on Peers (Cyberbullying)

Objective: Raise awareness about cyberbullying and strategies to prevent and address it.

Optional Activity: Role-Playing Scenarios

  • Optional Discussion Points:
    • What constitutes cyberbullying?
    • What are the effects of cyberbullying on individuals?
    • How can we support peers who are being bullied online?
  • Optional Activity: In groups, students role-play scenarios involving cyberbullying and practice appropriate responses and support mechanisms.
