CyberSecurity Training at NIS

At NIS, safeguarding our network is a responsibility we all share. That’s why we’ve partnered with KnowBe4, a leading platform in security awareness training and social engineering prevention. KnowBe4 provides an engaging and effective approach to help us enhance our personal understanding of cybersecurity and strengthen our collective “human firewall”

As part of this effort, all teachers and staff with an NIS email address are required to complete two online tasks:

  1. Training Course (approx. 19 minutes)
    • Title: 2025 Your Role: Internet Security and You — a concise, impactful module focused on our individual roles in maintaining a secure digital environment
  2. Assessment (approx.10 minutes)
    • Title: Security Awareness Proficiency Assessment (SAPA) — designed to evaluate our understanding of key cybersecurity concepts and help tailor future learning based on strengths and areas for improvement

** Who Must Complete These Tasks:**

  • Teaching Faculty: Designated time has been allocated during PLD (Professional Learning & Development) days this week for these tasks. (However you may begin working on them once you recieve the invitation email from KnowBe4)
  • All Other Staff: Please set aside time over the next month to complete the training and assessment.

** Completion Window:**
From September 22, 2025, through October 31, 2025.

Keep an eye out for the invitation email from KnowBe4 that will be sent out later today.

We deeply appreciate your participation in this initiative—your commitment plays a vital role in keeping our network safe and resilient, particularly in combating threats like social engineering. If you have any questions about accessing the modules or need assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Thank you for helping make NIS a stronger, more secure learning community!
