In order to avoid the Primary Open Day, NIS announced Lockdown Drill has been reset @11.50h on Wednesday 17 September for the whole school.

Please find out the online survey with enclosed Procedure of Code Blue, and share your feedback after the Lockdown drill via NIS Code Blue on September 17 or by scanning the QR below before 4.00PM on Friday, 19 September 2025.

All staff members must submit their feedback in the provided online survey.

Peersphere & Eduspark

As shared at the Morning briefing here are 2 great opportunities for Professional Development.

Peersphere – Peersphere offers virtual job-alike experiences where you can connect with others who might have similar roles or interests as you. There are 30 + role- and topic-based communities which you can join such as an EAL specialist group, AI in education, Early Years, and more. If you’re interested let Sandra know and she’ll sign you up with the school pricing of $145/person vs. the regular $190/person as part of your Professional Learning Allowance.

Eduspark – Eduspark provides virtual courses on a variety of topics for educators. Courses include Conceptual inquiry, AI in Education, Data Literacy, EAL, Social emotional learning and well-being and Child protection. Content creators are expert educators including creators like Kath Murdoch, Trevor Mackenzie, Rachel French, Tan Huynh and Dylan William. If you’re interested let Sandra know and she’ll sign you up with the school pricing of $120/person vs. the regular $200/person as part of your Professional Learning Allowance. Eduspark is also looking for content creators and Sandra is compiling a list of interested creators to share with Eduspark.

PSAT Registration Reminder

Dear Grade 9, 10, and 11 students,

The digital PSAT/NMSQT test will take place on Saturday October 11th from 8:00am to 10:30am. The registrations are now open and will close at 12pm (noon) on Friday September 12th. Please submit the survey(click HERE  or scan the QR code) to sit the test. 

Students should pay RMB140 by September 12th to take the PSAT. Please find payment instructions HERE
