Student Volunteer Opportunity — Pfrang “Giving Tree” Card Preparations

To any student who has some volunteer hours still to fill for Semester 1, we have an opportunity for you!

After school on Friday, November 14, from 3:10pm to 5:10pm, we will be applying name labels to this year’s gift cards for our annual Pfrang “Giving Tree” drive. Easy, but hugely helpful and rewarding work to assist our Pfrang Association in their support of students in need.

If you are interested, either come by and sign up on the sheet outside Mr. McHugh’s Music classroom, M252, or email him directly at mikemchugh@nanjing-school.com.

Looking forward to kicking off our Giving Tree drive this year with your assistance!

Mr. McHugh

New Metrics Deep Dive

If you are interested in looking more closely at New Metrics, the work they have done already, the tools they have created, and where it could fit at NIS, this is the session for you.

We will work in LGR2 from 3:15 – 4:15. The sessions will be on Wednesday 12 and Thursday 20 November.
Please complete this very quick form to express your interest in attending one of the sessions.

Dear Grade 9 Students and Discover China Week Teachers,

Your “Zǐ Shā” clay masterpieces have arrived and are now in my classroom. Please come to D223 to pick them up during Advisory or after school today (Thursday).

Since my room will be used for Saturday school this weekend, I would greatly appreciate it if you could take them home before then.

Cheers,
Ms. Yang
