Prioritized Areas for Improvement in NIS Survey #1: International Mindedness & Student Voice and Student Choice

The following email was sent out last week. Sharing here in case you didn’t receive it.

I’m also attaching the slides from Tuesday’s All-staff meeting session.

Dear NIS Parents and Guardians,

At NIS, we are committed to continuous improvement and to listening carefully to the voices of our students, parents, and staff. From our first NIS Community Survey for the 2025–26 school year, we have identified several key themes that have emerged as priorities for growth, particularly in the areas of International Mindedness and Student Voice and Student Choice.
Sharing this summary reflects our ongoing commitment to transparency and trust. We are deeply grateful for the care, honesty, and thoughtfulness reflected in your feedback, and for the shared belief that strong schools grow through open dialogue and collective reflection.

Thank you to all families who took the time to share your perspectives. Your insights help us better understand and enhance the learning experience for all students and families at Nanjing International School. We look forward to continuing this important work through our second survey, which will focus on the elements of Bursting the Bubble and Creative Thinking.
