Dear NIS Community,

We want to inform you of some changes due to ongoing issues with some vibrations and noise at the centre.

As of Monday, March 24, during school days from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM and Tuesdays from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM, only Cardiovascular and Multi-Station Frame equipment will be available.

Please refrain from using free weights or weights equipment during these designated periods. 

This limitation has been implemented to support the working conditions of the centre’s school staff. Our team is working on a longer-term solution to this issue. 

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter.

Chung Hwa Middle School, Bandar Seri Begawan (CHMS, BSB) visiting our school on March 20th, accompanied by a representative from the Nanjing Education Bureau. They will arrive at 9:30am, meet SLT members, participate in a session about AI with Shannon, and have a campus tour, leaving at 11:00am.

Dear all,

Please be informed that, from this weekend, access to the Centre Café will be closed at 5:30pm from Monday to Saturday and remain closed all day on Sunday. We will reopen it the following morning.

If you’re interested in participating in the 7-Week Safer Internet Challenge, you might consider leading a discussion or activity with your homeroom or advisory group. However, if now isn’t the right time, simply reflect on this week’s focus and how it could inform your teaching in the future.

Picking on Peers (Cyberbullying)

Objective: Raise awareness about cyberbullying and strategies to prevent and address it.

Optional Activity: Role-Playing Scenarios

• Optional Discussion Points:
  • What constitutes cyberbullying?
  • What are the effects of cyberbullying on individuals?
  • How can we support peers who are being bullied online?
• Optional Activity: In groups, students role-play scenarios involving cyberbullying and practice appropriate responses and support mechanisms.
