NIS Panda Picture Book Tournament

Time for our annual Panda Picture Book Tournament! The older primary students have already narrowed the selection from 16 to 8 books (links included at the bottom of this post). On Wednesday, March 25, everyone will be able to vote for their favorite 4 Panda picture books using the link/QR code in the Daily Bulletin. On Friday, March 27, everyone will vote for their favorite 2 Panda picture books. And on Wednesday, April 1, the final vote will take place to determine our favorite Panda picture book.

Teachers, this is a voluntary activity but the kids really enjoy seeing their favorites win! Secondary teachers, you can choose to read these books aloud with your class or have students read them on their own…everyone should have access via the Daily Bulletin. Primary teachers, your students have already read most if not all the titles, but they are also available on SeeSaw as well as here.

PP Exhibition – March 25th

Hello NIS Community!

Our Grade 10 Students have worked hard to complete their Personal Projects and our Exhibition Day of March the 25th is fast approaching!

Please take note of the schedule below for visiting the stalls during the day. Please check the times and pop yourself a reminder in your calendar if your class is to visit during part of your lesson. Grade 9’s will have a longer visit as they will listen to the PP process from a grade 10 student before visiting the stalls and getting ideas for their own PP in 26/27.

And, as always, if there are any questions, please do not hesitate to direct them to either myself or Jade.

MAP Testing Setup

We are approaching MAP testing time at NIS (Week 28 Gr 6-10 and Week 29 Gr 3-5).  To help us with a smooth MAP testing session, we are asking students to do a few things to get their computers and/or iPads ready for the test.   We have put together technology guides to assist you in this process.

If you are a student in grade 3-4 with an iPad please follow  these instructions

If you are a student in grade 5-10 please follow   these instructions.

As always, if you need assistance, please come, and visit the IT Department located on the first floor of The HUB.

Thank you

The NIS IT Support Team
