S.H.A.R.E. v.2

On Thursday, October 29th, NIS will host S.H.A.R.E. v2, an evening to share Skills, Hobbies, Arts, build Relationships, and create Experiences.

S.H.A.R.E. invites NIS parents and faculty to lead and join small, interest-based workshops—from games and crafts to food, movement, and creative pursuits. It’s a chance to connect in a different way: learning from one another, trying something new, and building relationships beyond our usual circles.

Some workshops may have a materials cost, which will be shared by the participants. Please contact the Activities Office with your ideas.

Pecha Kucha Speakers Wanted.

We are bringing back Pecha Kucha on November 28th!

Pecha Kucha is a presentation style where speakers have exactly 20 slides and only 20 seconds to talk about each one. That means 6 minutes and 40 seconds of pure, rapid-fire storytelling. No time to ramble—just big ideas and great vibes!

We need a couple of more speakers. The theme for this event will be “Unscripted” because life rarely goes exactly to plan. Often, it is the unexpected conversation, opportunity, setback, person, decision or detour that changes our direction. Unscripted gives each speaker the freedom to tell a story that is personal, funny, moving, surprising or completely unexpected.

It’ll take place on the evening of Saturday, November 28th in the Black Box. It’ll be an adult only fund-raising event for Pfrang. Tickets will be limited.

Please watch this Pecha Kucha about Pecha Kucha. to learn more. You can present anything you want but as the video says, something you are passionate about helps your presentation. Presentations can be in languages other than English.

You can also watch Kasson’s PK.

Kindly confirm with the Activities Office that you would love to be a speaker by Wednesday, October 9th. Please feel free to share this your partner, colleagues and friends.
